Firm membership covers every videographer at one firm for $499 a year. It works differently from individual membership in ways worth knowing before you budget for it.
Billing and the account holder
Firm membership is billed by card, the same as individual membership. The difference is who controls it: whoever sets the firm account up is the account holder, and only they can see or change the card on file. Nobody else on the roster can, which is usually the point.
To start one, email info@agcv.com or use the contact form. Tell us the firm name, who the account holder will be, and roughly how many videographers you have.
Adding and removing people
Send us the roster and we provision each person's Professional access against their work email. When someone leaves, tell us and we remove their firm access. There is no self-serve seat management screen, so the roster is only as current as what you send us.
One thing to be clear about: removing someone from the firm roster removes their firm-funded access. It does not revoke any credential they earned. A CDVS belongs to the person who earned it, not to the firm that paid for the coursework, and we do not take it back when they change employers.
Renewals
Firm memberships renew automatically each year, charged to the card on file. Keep that card current, because a failed firm renewal takes everyone on the roster down to Free at once rather than just one person. Exam seats
Firm membership includes bulk certification seat pricing across your roster. Seats are quoted against the number of people you expect to put through a track in the year. Ask for a quote rather than assuming the individual member rate.
Is it worth it
At five videographers, $499 is roughly break-even against five individual $99 memberships, before you count the bulk exam pricing. Above five, it is clearly cheaper. Below five, individual memberships are the simpler answer.
