Control who can see your profile and how other AGCV Community members can reach you.
Where to find these settings
- Desktop/browser: profile photo → Edit profile → Privacy tab.
- Mobile: profile photo → Profile → Edit profile → scroll to Permissions.
Make my email publicly visible
When enabled, other members can see your email on your profile. Turn it off to keep it private. (If AGCV has disabled email visibility community-wide, you won't see this toggle - your email is already hidden by default.)
Prevent members from messaging me
Turning this on disables direct messages entirely - you won't send or receive one-to-one or group DMs, and existing DM threads will be hidden from your inbox. AGCV staff and admins can still message you directly even with this on, and you can still reply to them.
Block specific members instead
If you'd rather only stop messages from one or two people instead of disabling DMs altogether, block them individually - see Block a member from messaging you. You can review everyone you've blocked from the Privacy tab.
Show my profile in the member directory
Controls whether you appear in the AGCV member directory, leaderboard, and member search. Turning this off doesn't fully hide you - members can still find your profile through chat, DMs, or by clicking your name on a post or comment.
