The AGCV Community keeps you posted on new discussion in the Open Forum, replies in your CDVS/CEVS/CTTS cohort spaces, upcoming Huddle Hour sessions, and account/billing activity. Here's how those notifications are organized.
Notification categories
- Email preferences - marketing-style emails about AGCV news, new courses, and events.
- New activity - mentions, direct messages, live-session alerts, and replies to your own posts/comments.
- New posts - new content in the spaces you belong to (Open Forum, your cohort space, Announcements, etc.).
- System notifications - a smaller set of notifications tied directly to account or billing events (see below) that aren't user-configurable.
How you receive them
Depending on your settings, a given notification can arrive by email, as an in-app notification (bell icon), or as a mobile push notification if you use the AGCV Community mobile app.
What's on by default
When you first join the AGCV Community, AGCV news/updates emails and most "new activity" notifications are turned on so you don't miss anything early on. You're free to adjust every one of these once you're signed in - see Set your notification preferences.
System notifications you can't turn off
A handful of notifications are tied directly to account and course status and aren't configurable:
- Moderator assignment and flagged-post alerts (if you hold a moderator role in a space).
- Event confirmations and reminders for sessions you've RSVP'd to.
- Billing-related alerts - trial expiration reminders, successful/failed payment confirmations, upcoming renewal notices, and subscription cancellation confirmations.
