If you'd like to step away from the AGCV Community, you can deactivate your account directly from your authentication settings (available when this option is enabled for AGCV members).
What to know before you deactivate
- You can only deactivate if you sign in with an AGCV Community email and password.
- If you have an active membership or certification subscription, deactivating cancels it immediately, with no refund for the remaining period.
- Once deactivated, you'll lose access to the community, but your existing posts, comments, and messages remain visible to other members - they just won't be able to see your profile information anymore.
- Deactivating was accidental? Contact info@agcv.com and we can reactivate your account.
- Want your account and data permanently deleted rather than just deactivated? Email info@agcv.com - that requires AGCV staff to process, not a self-service toggle.
How to deactivate
- Click your profile photo in the top-right corner and select Authentication.
- Scroll to the Deactivate account section and click Deactivate my account.
- Confirm in the dialog that appears by clicking Deactivate again.
